Bainbridge Island Interior & Architectural Photographer

If you're a designer, architect, or builder working on Bainbridge Island or the Kitsap Peninsula, you don't need to bring in a photographer from Seattle. I'm Emily Barrows, and I'm based right here on Bainbridge Island. I photograph interiors, architecture, and custom builds for the local design and construction community, and for clients across Kitsap County who want a photographer who knows this place as well as they do.

Photography rooted in this place

Bainbridge Island has a design community unlike anywhere else in the Pacific Northwest. The projects here reflect the island's character: waterfront homes that work with the landscape, custom builds that balance Pacific Northwest materiality with refined interiors, renovations that respect the island's architectural history. I've spent years photographing this work, and I understand what makes it distinctive. That local knowledge shows up in every image.

Bainbridge Island and Kitsap projects I photograph

I work with designers, architects, and builders throughout Bainbridge Island and the surrounding region on:

  • Waterfront and view properties

  • Residential interiors and full-home renovations

  • Kitchen and bath remodels

  • Custom home builds across Kitsap County

  • Architect and design-build firm portfolios

I also work regularly with Seattle-area clients who have projects on the island or in Kitsap County.

How a shoot works

1.) PRE-PRODUCTION

Before shoot day, we work through everything needed to make the day run smoothly. This includes an initial phone call or meeting to discuss your project and priorities, a pre-shoot site visit if helpful, and a detailed shot list so nothing gets missed. I'll send over my terms and a 50% deposit invoice to confirm the booking.

2.) SHOOT DAY

After arriving and getting setup, I get to work. I move through each area methodically, adjusting furniture and styling details as needed to get the best from every shot. Some setups come together quickly; others I'll spend considerable time on to get the light and composition exactly right. My priority is always the final image, not the clock.

3.) POST-PRODUCTION

This is where the shoot becomes a portfolio. I cull, process, and edit every selected image, including color correction, exposure work, and retouching. You'll receive a proof sheet to make your final selections from, with delivery of completed images, usually within 2 weeks. Additional retouching beyond the standard package is available on request.

A local photographer with a Pacific Northwest reach

My home office is off Crystal Springs. I photograph projects throughout Bainbridge Island, Poulsbo, Silverdale, Bremerton, and the broader Kitsap Peninsula, and I travel regularly to Seattle and the greater Puget Sound region. If your project is local, you get a photographer who already knows the island's light, its landscapes, and its design community.
